Never said anything about being forced? They're obviously not that obscure as they're playing to 20,000 people at least. I saw them at Reading this year (in a tent with 35 degrees+ outside, ironic?) and had never heard a song of theirs at all before, but I enjoyed it and tried to show as much appreciation as I deemed necessary and the whole crowd replicated that as well! I only attempted to specify what made a good crowd and isn't hugely being shown here. Your colourful language is also amusing.

Since when did heat stop you singing or clapping along? They're not the kind of band you jump/ excessively move to anyway but watch any other European/UK festival performance of theirs and everyone AT LEAST sings along and shows appreciation for the music. Even at the end after the song's finished the applause is tame.

They play well live, but their sound is rather thin compared to the album and they seem lost on that big stage. Usually live performances are more emotional than recorded music, but here they seem less soulful- a bit too laid back? Maybe they were too hot, as the comment says. I would hope they'd usually have more energy. Don't get me wrong,tho- I LOVE this band.

I have nothing against the people dancing because I hate all the people dancing "socially" I'm sure they dont dance like that in their bedrooms, they're afraid of being themselves

You where obviously not there :) You know why people are not moving? BECAUSE IT WAS FRIGGIN' HOT. Tempratures of 50 degrees in the tent (yes, tent) where no exceptions. Moving your left arm would cause a stream of sweat/water/beer and every other body fluid imaginable. The weather by the way led to the biggest waterfight ever held! So thanks for sharing your knowledge of UK festivals, but drop the elitism mate. Come next year (hopefully when it's raning) and i'll show you how we party! :)
