All Saints, one of the most successful British girlbands, perform their 7th single and 5th UK number one on TOTP in 2000. "Black coffee" was the second single off their second studio album "Saints & Sinners".
In the UK All Saints' 1997 hit "Never Ever" is the biggest selling single by a girlband EVER, with 1.249.000 copies sold. No other single by a girlgroup has still managed to beat that record.

Just for the record the Japanese tend to lie about sales all the time. Do you really believe Namie Amuro sold like over 2million records in first day? The shelves couldnt hold so many discs ever, ewww. Not even to mention speed, the group where only only 1 person can actually sing in tune, Eriko or whatever.12 years назад

@DianaSugar It's IN THE UK, not worldwide. Honestly I don't know this Japanese girlgroup you mentioned but maybe they sold all those copies in their country or in Asia, in general. Don't think their music was released in the UK =)12 years назад

@DreamerManuel are you sure all saints is the only girl group ever who sold more than 1.249.000 copies? because I think the japanese girl group "speed" sold nearly 1.800.000 copies with their single "white love" back in 1997.13 years назад
