It's just a suggestion how you can play it. Of course to replicate the sound of nigel would be out of mind at least if don't want to spent 6k for the equipment! As the one under me said you only need three gain stages and also in my opinion be grateful and faithful in what you have. Talent and practice are more essential than to have the best gear.

There should be a camera angle that's more straight on to the neck and not so much off to the side. Just sayin', that's all.

Well, you could easily look at his hands and try to mimic the guitar lines. See those numbers at the left of the screen? Thats the Nashville Number System which will teach you some music theory about chord numbers. Oh, and you can't forget that you can get an idea about tones from this video. Instructional? I think so.

Rather than trying to replicate someone else's sound, you should find out what you like, and work with that. All you really need are three gain stages (a clean sound, then a more overdriven, and then a distortion), and some dotted-eigth and quarter note delay and volume pedal for swells. And maybe some reverb, a compresor or tremelo to your liking.

@KjustifyM They have the number of which chord is being played in the top left. Its called the Nashville number system. It really helps when playing music because you don't have to think about the chord/note that comes next, but the number. Hope this helps. =)
