TBM is my favorite band, too. Heard of AiV before them but prefer TBM. Listen to them constantly. Got to see them in concert last month for the first time! Great that this video is up.

I second Iggy Valentine's recommendation. The Birthday Massacre is a great band. They don't necessarily sound like AIV (for the most part), but I can understand why AIV fans would also like TBM.

The Birthday Massacre in my opinion deliver a deeper tone in their synthpop. They make you imagine things, and even relive moments of your past, all within the music and soft vocals. If anyone is interested that have NOT heard of this band, PM me & I'll get you in the right direction. Not don't let this comment say I dislike AiV. I wouldn't have uploaded it if I didn't. But I would say TBM is my favorite band.

AiV's music has a punk/rock edge that most other synthpop doesn't have; no other band blends so many different styles quite like AiV. "Something New" is still a great song, but I think it has more of a cookie-cutter synthpop sound than most of their other stuff. I have to disagree about "She's A Machine". That's my favorite AiV song (and album). All their albums are good, but I think She's a Machine is much edgier than the others.

I think they do have a unique sound, but this particular song doesn't do it justice. Songs like "She's a Machine", "We Are Rebels", and "Lay Me Down" are better examples of their style.
