Despite my profile picture, I swear Metallica is not my favorite band and what I am about to say is not biased: James Hetfield nailed this song. Really, these are some of Layne's more aggressive, growling vocals, and James Hetfield has the perfect balance of aggression and smooth, clean vocals in this performance. I would like to hear him do more performances with AIC, along the lines of Them Bones, Again, and Dirt. They fit surprisingly well.

This video of James Hetfield playing this song with Alice in Chains is the best thing that ever happened. Because, this is the song that made me buy AIC's Dirt album. Best fucking purchase in my entire fucking life. It's been 3 years, and it's still one of my favorite albums of all time.
