Weird. I thought this one was one of the best songs in the album and it only has 40k likes. Anyways, this song is fucking awesome and I hope they play in their concert in South FL

I find this phenomenon of the phantom limb interesting; sensations that are felt in and on limbs, body parts, or organs that have been amputated from the body---the sensations are usually pain related; felt as tingling, burning, itching, or cramped and contorted sensations in the amputated body part, limbs or organs. A gentleman by the name of Ronald Melzack first proposed the idea of a "neuromatrix" to explain the experience we as human beings have of the body. The neuromatrix being a neural network that consists of the interactions and communications between various neural structures responsible for the experience we have of our body; in essence, the theory proposed a mental template for the body---a sort of 3D model or map of the body in the mind, where we perceive the body. In '91 the National Institute of Health (NIH) showed that the somatsensory cortex of the brain undergoes changes or reorganization after the amputation of a limb or body part (loss of sensory input). Subsequently it was theorized by a man named Vitanyur Ramchandran that this reorganization in the somtasensory cortex accounts for the perceptual experience of pain in the amputated appendage. Other research done into the matter proposes that the pain felt by the phantom limb stems primarily from junk sensory input coming from the peripheral nervous system (PNS) after an amputation---reference wikiConceptually speaking, a phantom limb can represent parts of the self at stages of development that have passed, or traumatic experiences in ones past, perceptions rooted in the past or relevant for different environments now changed, or relationships that one has severed from themselves that were negative but still feels as if they were apart of them. The idea being that our memories and our perceptions and their impressions evidenced in our psychology forms a type of neuromatrix of the psyche or the self, or self perception (ego, id, superego). As our self-perception changes as our memories and perceptions change the reorganization process within that neuromatrix of the psyche can result in the manifestation of a psychic phantom limb of parts of ourselves that have been lost or altered abruptly, forcibly or traumatically---as in the case of an amputated limb that is traumatically removed from the physical body. The burning and tingling cramping and itching, as it were, in what has been amputated from our self as we develop---whether that be positive or negative aspects of development. As we form new memories and new relationships and experience new things as our environment changes, along with the people in it, the sensory input of past perceptions and memories and old environments may be lost traumatically, torn from us, in an objective sense, but still experienced as part of the psyches essence and still felt as if they were still with us and relevant as if nothing had changed; thus I believe a psychic phantom limb phenomenon is conceivable. In the hollow of the chest,a woundtorn, ripped, and gaping, beating;bleeding---but no blood;no heart.
