"Under My Wheels" was the first single release of the "Killer" album in 1971. It reached no. 59 of the US charts and no. 66 in UK. Alice Cooper re-recorded the song, who was written amongst others by Canadian producer legend Bob Ezrin, as a duet with Axel Rose of Guns N' Roses. They supported him on his Raise Your Fist And Yell-Tour in 1988. You can also find many different cover versions of the song - from Welsh alternativ rockband Manic Street Preachers and NWOBHM group Def Leppard to legendary Finish hair spray metal combo Hanoi Rocks. Love this song and the performance. What I enjoy most, other than the electric quality of the act, is watching Glen Buxton on lead guitar. He's playing the TV Yellow SG while Michael Bruce on the red SG plays rhythm guitar, and well. Seem to recall reading about Glen Buxton and that he met a bad end - perhaps drug related, but I can't say for sure. If this is true, it's tragic. On the studio version of this song, found on the Killer album I believe, Rick Derringer adds much to the guitar parts. Derringer is one of my guitar heroes and a hero in other ways just as important.
