I read in Steve Marriott's online bio that Keith Richards wanted him to join the Stones when Mick Taylor left the band but Jagger objected to it. Maybe he was a bit threatened by the suggestion. Ya Think?10 years назад

The riff that Steve Marriott plays does. It's not from the Larry Williams original, which a real rocker - much faster than this. The Beatles covered the song and slowed it down a little bit - still much faster than this - but they used the original Larry Williams riff.12 years назад

Looks like Steve is plugged into a silverface Fender Twin. Probably with the volume on 10. Great sound, but loud as heck.. I've got a Super Reverb (1972) which gets that tone but a little more midrange, but that's half the power of the Twin.12 years назад

don't think you can actually compare them. S Marriott was an amazing talent, fabulous voice and versatile. more than one band. Korner was though the man who got blues acts to the UK to begin with.. doubt that there was any competition here. both legends in their own way..12 years назад
