Ahhhh... I remember this one well. I had it on a special tape that I played on a portable recorder (before such players came standard in cars!). I played that in the car while I made out with my first love, who I later married. Though the marriage didn't last, this brings up warm fuzzy wonderful feelings of when love was young, hopeful, full of promise, with the whole of the future in front of us. I'm grateful for that and this .. to this day!

Just plain wonderful arrangement which Al played fabulously! This is a goose bump generator for those of us who really know trumpet.

Oh for sure, didn't mean to slight the arranger/conductor.....all right at the top.

He's the King. I enjoyed his music way back 50 years ago until now. The arranger and conductor Marty Paich rings a bell. Yes, he's the father of David Paich of Toto. A credit to the arranger/conductor, too. Thanks for the info.

Immediately after the final "take" of this recording the entire orchestra arose and gave Al a standing ovation. What an honor for one of the best trumpet tooters to ever come out of New Orleans.

First heard this 40 years ago, and to this day never heard ANYONE play trumpet like this man. Al was without equal.

This song is very special to my wife and myself, if only I could find a cure for Lewy Body Dementia and Parkinsons; it would truly be a blessing; we have been together for over 57 years. Roger Plafkin-Plafkin Farms, Ada, Michigan
