If you're going to have that simple riffs you should atleast try to shine it up a bit and use the drums to make the riffs stand out and seem more interesting. You could've done a really cool build-up to the riff at 1:06 and then made that really simple kick-snare beat stand out by only keeping the drums that simple at that point.

hey i saw in one of your videos you were using the line 6 and cubase? im looking into getting both but do you just plug in the line 6 and go to the cubase settings and find it? then i can listen to the mix back through my computer to record the guitar tracks and have no noticeable latency ?
