i met laura in person outside the stone pony is asbury park NJ a couple months ago after they played a really intense show. she gave me a hug and thanked me for listening to her music. she's such a beautiful person and i hope we're all very proud of her.

Not fully understanding the transition of trans, and reading how Tom is taking hormonal prescription, I was expecting Against Me to somehow morph into some kind of riot girl type band with a redefined feminine voice of Laura.Well, I was partially wrong. Tom/Laura's voice now sounds more melodic and yet still retains that aggressive nature we all come to love. Still sounds more pissed but with a tint of sorrow a.k.a. blues.Trans Dysphoria Blues is the first album I'm looking forward to in 2014! 12 more days!
