I finally started living my life in full time girl mode about a month ago. (I was a slow roller, transition was hidden from most for a while) After my first week i heard this song and just had tears of uncontrollable emotions. All the work, pain, sacrifice, waiting, loss, humiliation, envy, and the like just kinda sorta let go. I took a look back and saw how drastically my life had changed already and started weaping. instead of fighting it i just let it flow out of me, crying so hard I was screaming but nothing was coming out. It was that one line "how would you even recognize me" that did it. When it was over i found myself having a new kind of strength and confidence about who I am.

Lee Dyess's drums used to be so badass and angry and theyre just horribly overcompressed on this album. the intro to the one armed boxer vs the flying guillotine had the most agressive insane drum sound ever and here theres just week cymbals that get pushed down in the mix bus and a round thumpy kick and it takes so much energy away from the song. The guitars sound great but they take over the whole damn album and the band just feels like Laura Jane Grace on stage with a spotlight and some random musicians hired to play background parts. they were better when they were underproduced and sounded like a shitty angry punk band
