This Miami stuff is sick! I always listen to NY 80's stuff, but this is funky as shit and just as good! Love dem 80's basslines!

@rdecaserio Actually Derrick Rhaming was all South and this was his concept all of it... Juan was from New York and did some of the cuts ... Derrick,Bob Rosenberg(WillToPower) & I (Phil Jones)Hot 105 & Power 96 mixed this on an 8 track reel to reel tape the mix is uncredited but I did the multiple edits on this Dub mix and I was from White Plains N.Y. not the Bronx I've been in SoFla since 74' this song became the Template for Miami Bass...Phil Jones

@NYOLSKOOL Back in the days Miami Bass was for a lot of people a mini electro funk mix with more pitch and bass, a speedup copy of something that was olready made. P.S. remember the east vs west?? LOL. Back in the days if it wasent from NY I dint even wanted to listen to it LOL. Today if is old school I will probally listen to it just for the flash back. U Feel Me!!!

@NYOLSKOOL The truth is that this guys are Newyoricans in the south!!!! Back in the days they were to lame for the Boogie Down Bronx so they took advantage of the south. Their talent came from The Barrio!!! It wasent egnogh for Big Apple so they took their stuff to the (305)dirty south!!
