My first impression is that he does completely the wrong thing, but he does it so well, from the 12/8 time signature (for a waltz!) to the overwrought pop vocals, which are saved by their timely excursions into rawness. Great band backing him up. I actually listened to most of this. It will be great when he finds his voice, and learns what to leave out.

Well, he said it. "Wow". This is the first time I've listened to Adam Cohen. I'll bet I'm not the only Leonard Cohen fan who wrestled with the idea. Glad I did. I'll be back for more. Just now I'm going in hunt for something from around '85 of his father's. I need it like breathing. But I'll be back.

I think everybody should lay off of Adam... he's talented, he has his own voice and he sings his father's songs with passion. There aren't any rules to what he is supposed to do!

such a difference it is unbelievable. he has the talent, just follow your fathers footsteps more closely. unfortunately what presides this is not easy. the voice is most certainly there.
