I have the POD X3 but Eric has the HD500 and he's got some sick tones on it. Email us or find him on facebook Eric Thomson and ask him about where he got his tones.

Love the guitar. Love the way it plays and everything about it (a little heavy and thick though). If you want better pickups you can always swap them out for the better version of the EMG 808s, the EMG 808Xs.. which I'm sure you know are just better in general and they pick up the extended range / low end better, better voicing, etc. Obviously there are other options as well but if I swapped them out for anything, I'd just go with the EMG 808Xs..
