Sono riuscito a ottenere la migliore definizione del video di questo brano che adoro.
"The Day Before You Came" è stata registrata e mixata in digitale il 20 agosto 1982, con il titolo provvisorio di "Den Lidande Fågeln" (The Bird sofferenza).
E fu una vera sofferenza.
Secondo Michael Tretow, tecnico del suono degli ABBA, questa era la registrazione della loro ultima canzone.
Agnetha infatti decise di cantarla a luci spente per non manifestare la commozione e la tristezza che si percepiva nello studio.
Con un meritato successo si congedarono (ufficiosamente) con questo dolcissimo brano, malinconico come il loro addio, in onore a una splendida carriera e a tanta bella musica che ci hanno regalato. Indimenticabili!
