I think this album, "Outbound" and the group's first album, were its absolute best ever.

this song turned me on Shawn Colvin, and I miss her in this. Great performance apart from that.

I believe that man with the dress is from Mongolia. Mongolians known by Khoomii. They did beautiful job put Khoomii in their repertoire. I can't believe The Flecktones were in Mongolia back in 1990's. I remember watching them in Mongolian Philharmonic's stage.

Throat singing will also make your regular singing better, and it will help you find your voice and make you more relaxed...it's really not hard, first you have to have to diaphragm control, to do this, breathe in deep, then close your lips and push the air out (not hard, just enough to puff your cheeks up completely), then ease it out and open it, the vibrato is just a build up of pressure at the top of your throat which causes the vocal folds on the roof of your mouth vibrate.

Actually, I find it way easier than singing...but it's probably cause i'm hooked on throat singing and don't make enough time to sing conventionally. I just find that words can change the way you make sounds, and it's easy to lose control when you're adding dynamics and emotions and get winded easily. Funny thing though is that throat singing actually makes me stronger, more aware, alert, focused and energized (or mellowed out if doing kargyraa) Ezengileer style is my new favorite.

overtones are mysterious things. he is able to manipulate them to create a melody. it's extremely difficult but not dangerous.
