Actually you can play both Bb-blues and Eb-blues over the Eb7-chord. In this particular case, Bb-blues would give more sence, since Eb7 is the fourth chord, but still you can variate your guitar play a lot with this theory. Scott Henderson is also a big fan of playing solo in the 4th chords scale even though i might be the 1st chord playing. See, the scales share so many tones, that you can argue for the "wrong" tones just to be colouring up your sound. :)

i dont understand if you can play Bb blues over Eb7 chord....the progression is 4-1 ....so Eb7-Bb...

The lick starts off with the Bb blues scale and then, after the slide and for the rest of the lick, it's Bb mixolydian with some chromatic notes added in.

Dave this was a tough one to transcribe and believe me I used my ear, it just seems you changed up the riff all the way through the video, I get the basis/foundation of the riff and that there is room for improve, just trying to put it to sheet music and wondering which way to go...was trying to stay true to the original piece of music.
