this song is so ridiculously good. wish that music was still considered an art form so these guys could make what they deserve. guess justin beiber and kanye west could use a few more million for shitting on a microphone

(the aesthetics of 31 knots' music are exquisite). The video is great, doesn't look amateur at all, it's funny and within the same topic as the song, plus the lighting is great; just because it's focused on the band's performance, who are not professional actors, should it be qualified as amateur, and I think they did a great job though.

Even though it looks simple (and well... it is ;)), there is something called "style". This is no mulit-million dollar video, but it doesn't look like "oh, let's shoot a video today". That would be amateur-like.

Um, are you guys watching the same clip as I was? Do you know how to interweave multiple clips into a moving montage like they did here? If so, did you go to school to learn that? That wouldn't be amateur and thus, my comment was not "ignorantly stated." I gotta disagree. spelling/dialect/regional language quirks aside, formal prose allows both the writer and the reader to better digest the ideas conveyed, especially themes as specific and nuanced as DD's. p.s. Barack Obama: Change we can believe in!

i think the video sucks too. i'd rather just listen to the song then watch the video and hear the song at the same time. (why do you leave youtube comments like you're writing a letter? i think youtube is an appropriate place for "informal writing")

Dear Chain, I am not sure what you felt was amateur about this video, but I felt that the imagery follows perfectly with the concept and movement of the song. I consider an amateur music video to be something that lacks substance or can be easily replicated by someone who is not in the field.
