While I prefer how Voldy's death (though not the fight) was done in the book, this is a gorgeous peace.Honestly, it was kind of better in the book to have his body just fall down dead like that. It gave a true sense of finality, and did exactly to him what he had done to so many others.

This movie was a masterpiece IMO. It was the end of an era. Voldemort's death was the end of a FANTASTIC villain and movie series.

Once Nagini - the last Horcrux - is destroyed, you can't help but feel pity and sadness for Voldemort in the next 2 minutes. You start seeing that look of fear in his eyes and you know he's vulnerable and about to die. Tom Riddle was born in a loveless environment and never received love afterwards. He had no one. That's why he became the evil Dark Lord and pure embodiment of evil. Even in the book, Harry offered Voldemort a chance at redemption, but Voldemort only knew rage and hatred. It's a shame he was beyond redemption...

In the book after Neville defies Voldemort the battle recommences and goes into the castle only Harry does not reveal himself to be alive and stays under the invisibility cloak. After Bellatrix dies, Harry casts a shielding charm and explains to Voldemort how he (Harry) is the true master of the elder wand (like he does to Ron and Hermionie in the movie). They fire their spells, but when they collide Voldemort's curse bounces back and kills him. The fight also takes place in front of a crowd.
