I see your point. You may be right. I listen to music from 60s, 70s, 80s ad a bit from 90s. Marcelo Nova, a brazilian singer and songwriter, says time is the real test for music. I think we will know in some years if pop music from nowadays is worth.

The sad part is that at least the 70s, 80s, 90s... were remembered for a lot of -good- and meaningful music... I guess our era will be remembered for "bitches and hoes" and empty soulless stuff like Justin bieber and bad disney music. The good music I feel will most be obscure... Though I hope not. I try to think... What is significant abotu the music of 2000 to 2010? I cant really think of much.. but then again I dont listen to much moderns music beyond the more hidden stuff that I find on YT.
