There was a hit-and-run near the dog park on Silver Lake Blvd. that was the inspiration for this song—sometime around 1995. A jogger was killed, and after a week or two the driver committed suicide. The city finally completed a safer path for pedestrians in the last 2 years. At least we got a good song out of it. I was an auxiliary member of the band back then, btw.
