Honestly I don't think Greg left for that reason, I think that when Greg left, Roy's style kind showed up in the album a lot more, because Roy recorded both bass and guitar.

They just don't sound like THIS anymore... They've produced two albums of the same style in a row for which I adored them and I was expecting the 'Odd Soul' to have that same sounding but now I feel it will never happen again... I think this new direction could be the reason why Greg left the band. But don't get me wrong - MUTEMATH STILL IS A GREAT AND UNIQUE BAND!!! Just... different...

THIS Mutemath is in and throughout everything they currently do. This will never leave their odd souls. Porbably one of my favorite songs on the mellow side.

Oh, thanks, I didn't catch that difference. Odd Soul is what I like less then the other two albums, but I couldn't catch the reason.

Of course! The guitarist Greg Hill has left the band - the fact that really pissed me off... Have you listened to their latest alum "Odd Soul" at all? I still like this guys so much but they sound different now, still GREAT but different - that's what I ment...

greg hill, their guitar player, left the band last year. Their new album has a totally new vibe and so do their new live performances. check them out, the album is called odd soul.
