Ten years before the previous concert, Jamiroquai were trying to promote themselves on a long european tour. This great, though short tape (considering there isn't more) showcases the band at his early age. Notice how different is the nowadays performance style in comparision with this one: long didgeridoo solos, turntables, no backup singers, such overlooked names (Maurizio Ravalico, Nick Van Gelder, Galvin Doods) rare covers...well, it really seems i'm talking about another band! However, the fact is that they're in great form, especially Jay: his singing is very youthful and "Stevie Wonderish" as the usual for the year, and people who are familliar with the period will enjoy a lot this gig. They play a very rare cover of Never Gonna Give You Up (it sounds fabulous), a usually great version of When You Gonna Learn (wich is actually a didgeriddo solo by almost half of the song), a funky rendition of Rapper's Delight and the fitting and rare set closing Turn Off The Lights on this recording. Like i mentioned before, i don't know if more of this concert exists in tape, does anybody knows out there? =P
