Bought this upon its release as a junior in prep school. I had some excellent influences back then!

1st Revelation (1971) - Edgar Winter's White Trash. 2nd Revelation (1972) - The Edgar Winter Group! Couldn't believe it was the same musician! Then I found this obscure album, 'Entrance'.. I was absolutely ASTOUNDED! 1970, his first solo album and so completely different and masterful, Esoteric and so enjoyable. Always seened so personal, like sharing something soulful with the artist. Perhaps his best work. When to think, 3 Revelations in 3 years! Wish he'd explored deeper into Jazz.

I remember so well listening to this for the first time way back in the mid-seventies...And it's still fresh, original..and just good...every single note of it...an amazing piece of music! Why did he change his musical style so much to the worse? What would have become of him if he had pursued this direction?

Wow.As a self taught keyboard player from 75.I learned alot from SF radio and heard Frankenstein and put bolts with a leather strap on my first portable UNIVOX and named my high school band "VENTRANCE ! Edgars first entrance? I think musicians are past life retreads and we keep on ROCKIN. Hoochie Koo is Still my favorite.Thank you FM radio.Screamin Lema-Aloha XD

How can I not possibly comment on this album? As I sit here one year away from social security and listen to the first few bars of this album, I think back to 1970 when I young, naive and knew nothing about the realities of life, the world, etc. What a piece of musical artwork this was and certainly still is. Thanks for the post
