@treefrog2108 Paul Simon did write and record the original...and he recorded it in Kingston using the musicians and back up singers of Jimmy Cliff, hence the cultural influence.

I heard paul simon sing this the other day on the radio and thought this could be a bob marley song,not just cause of the obvious reggae riffs but the lyrics and delivery. And here I find ziggy singing it. rip BOB,

I got a video of Stephen Marley doing this song! Although I think Ziggy's organist does it better.

@lilnip67 with Ziggy singing it it's like the song has gone full circle, as it was orginal a Jamiacan tune that Paul Simon wrote the lyrics of this song to.

@8269998 Judge Dread recorded Big Six and Big Seven in 1972. Those were the first reggae songs written by a white artist. He even reach the top 10 in Jamaica and he out sold Bob Marley in the early 70's. Also he didn't write just one reggae song, he was a reggae artist. He was so good that Jamaicans thought he was from Jamaica.

I love ziggy's music for allot of reasons but here. This song is one. He didn't change it. He sang it with all respect to the original artist. :}}
