I thought it would never get this bad. I was just writing my suicide note with the knife right beside me, listening to one last song and this one caught my attention. And right as I wrote the last word I heard "Hold on". The song kept going and I couldn't help but feel everything I've been pushing down all at once as that voice explained how I was feeling to the tune of music. I lost everything today and I don't think the future has any need for me, but after hearing this and feeling every word of it I think I have just enough hope left in me to believe for one more day that it will all work out, I just need to hold on. Thank you.

Rap is an art actually, its a form of language which is art. Mainstream rap, like the ones we see in pop culture, is what im disgusted with. Rap is a form of poetry that focuses on beats to make their words powerful. Art is a medium of protest that allows artist to against a system in which they have questioned. Art allows us to question our existence and our connections. It makes you look into the world you live in and feel the emotions. This is poetry. Sadly the form of "rap" we hear is one the sticks with people.
