This Yvonne Fair track was recorded in 1969, but released in July 1970, and was on Soul35075 but not released in the UK. She had a very soulful voice and was once a member of the Chantels. Isn't this a nice track from the long forgotten Yvonne Fair? I'd appreciate your comments on this track, please? John

@ddbrasil1 That is not David Ruffin with Tammi, it's Marvin.

I remember seeing Yvonne with Bobby Bland in the late 60's. She was a great opening act for the Man Bobby Bland.

A brill tune, many thanks I never heard it before I only know her from the classic ' It should have been me' However I think the 4th photo of Tammi & Marvin looks like Smokey Robinson?

the first 3 photos of Tammi and Marvin, are you sure it is him and not David Ruffin?

Thanks for putting the correct facts fannycraddock99, I try to give the correct info, but do make mistakes, it's a long time since those days and I do forget nowadays :-( I've got about 900 singles and 700 odd albums from my Motown times, and I have to go through them all to get it right, :-) John

Apologies fannycraddock99 of course you are correct, the single was released in July 1970and the actual recording was made the year before, I always love the way Motown had good recordings on both sides of the singles, very unusual at that time, don't you think? I had referred to Motown's catalogue of discs, although I do have the single, which is a rare one today, so keep hold of it, eh? :-) John

I've always loved this song. BTW you have your dates wrong, it was on the 'b' side of 'Stay A Little Longer' which was released in July 1970.
