Pretty freewheeling eclectic stuff yet utterly great!~If you like these guys check out Lucifer's Friend, Dust, Trapeze, Pentagram (70's era with Vince McAllister on guitar ie First Daze Here 1 & 2 and Human Hurricane- deadly pentatonic chair-throwing & recklessly relentless mad sonic genius and real barnburning guitar solos et al...!!!- (in other words let the music do the talking and don't be thrown off by the image conveyed by the band name alone., as far too often happens when people are recommending stuff to check out music wise...,, ok, next on the list of 60-70s hard rocking geezers, any pre-Eliminator (MTV Sell-Out Crap) ZZ Top (Pantera's Diamond Darrell primary influence as a youngster- even Hendrix predicted B. Gibbons as the next big thing in rock guitar way back in the 60s..., then, Wishbone Ash, say the Argus and Pilgrimage LP's (the fathers of the twin-guitar lead trade-off format, who set the pace for Priest, Maiden, Lizzy and so on; Budgie's Never Turn Your Back On A Friend is another doozy... then Blue Cheer's Vincebus Ereptus, and Live Over Nuremberg; ACDC's genuine debut album (in Australia anyhow) High Voltage (with Soul Stripper, a masterpiece in my humble opinion)...Powerage of course is another great B. Scott album too. There's so many, but let's not omit any 70's era Alice Cooper either... Please share any knowledge of great 60/70s hard rock blues based bands ahead of their time... !!!). Oh, and though are of contemporary times (as of nowadays) check out Burning Saviours, Witchcraft, and especially Black Trip from Sweden as they sound awesome, like they just stepped out of a time machine!.There !
