One of the last great Spinners' songs, along with "Toni, My Love". A memorable period in R&B Music.

What wonderful music to listen to. The Spinners were so talented and the song writers for them were brilliant. I love this musical era and thank you for posting this song.

Hi Dee. Most of Philippe's famous codas (like Mighty Love, Could It Be I'm Falling in Love and Then Came You) were ad-libbed according the Producer and Arranger THOM BELL. Nobody could do it like Philippe!!!!

I always look back on this period and reflect on how the "Philly Sound" seemed to move on to an Adult Contemporary existence as 1976 came to a close. As a teenager back then, The Spinners, O'Jays and Blue Notes were a part of my life's soundtrack but these one-time staples began to fade away and were replaced by Funk Bands and eventually Hip-Hop. This song sounds like it could have been left over from an earlier LP or maybe it really was the end of an era.

Always liked the 'flow' of this song...it just had that awesome stickiness to it, couldn't stop listening to it...amazing effort, anyone who knows this song was wading real deep in the Spinners watershed of songs...

Like the best music of the 60's, we'd stand on street corners, practise in garages, trying to harmonize and get our singing act together to the sounds of the big 3, The Spinners, The O'Jays & the The Stylistics. This song was played and practised on more times than I can remember, along with Honest I Do. A great post, Ricky, and thanks for the wonderful memories! Kudos to the other fine groups not mentioned here; the 70's, music wise, was totally unreal!

@Peraino "Rubberband Man" raced up the charts, but this song resonated in my Soul as a Senior in High School (1976-77)... The Spinners were never the same after this
