Pure pop magic from one of the best 80s duos around :) Alison Moyet and Vince Clarke were in fine form at a sold-out show in the city of angels. Check out my other vids from this show!

@radiovertigo Yeah, no worries my friend. I must admit, I have to agree with your comment,as I would be mad for the performers if I was in that audience too!! :)

@theseus27 a pity about the fact that you had to point out what you didn't like about this. spoils your comment a bit ;) focus on what is good about things and leave the rest, mate. the audience was mad for the performers and they loved our energy right back. peace out!

Great video. Thanks for uploading it. Gives the best impression of the last part of the song of any of the Youtube clips of "Too Pieces."

But that's not all, there's more. What about the flowers! The visuals accompanying the song are brilliant. The time elapsed shots of the opening flowers and lush greenery seem somehow to fit so well. Call me bonkers, (I'm still on a high!) the idea of the release, the start of a new beginning all seem to fit so well, not only in relation to that song but the set as a whole, Vince and Alison's relationship and the Reconnection. Thanks for sharing :-)

Those noises come to the fore after Alison has left the stage, Vince is left alone, master of the Mac, the song builds, that driving octaving bassline drops in and the kick drum - wow, feel that bass!- from being at a point of nearly crying I am up and dancing (as some have witnessed!).

That would be enough in itself. But then there's Vince's electronics. Again the 'updated' version does what I thought was impossible and improves immeasurably on the original. The sounds he's used alone, so much care and effort has gone into them. Like the whole tour has been, Too Pieces is a combination of Alison's wonderful voice and Vince's noises, a sum more than its parts.

One year on, still feeling withdraw symptoms. If I had to pick one song that epitomised the Yazoo Reconnection it would be this. The original was brilliant but this blows it away. Alison's vocal just adds so much emotion and power. And her delivery... I nearly cried when she sang that last line, lowered the mic, places it in the stand and slowly left the stage, as if she's walking away from the love she's lost, come to realise that she'll never have.
