I sorta liked "Hold On"...but the song wouldnt have sounded better if the Scott Sisters did the lead vocals on it. Tiny's not a great singer, but a unique one...sometimes her parts and singing OFF KEY.

Im not sure if Kandi will release a new cd in 2013 but two new songs that she recorded (probally) recently have been leaked to the media. Both are so tight. One is more of a gospel ballad with Marvin Sapp. She hasnt said anything about a new cd nor mentiend anything about still be on Asylum Records roster. But we will see. Id lobe to hear another cd from her.

As far as Tamika Scott her strongest vocals were on "Who can I Run To" She made that song her own and showed she can stand up to her sister. I also likde her vocals in "What Can I Do". She took over verse 3 like a pro...she showed she can adapt to faster paced songs like that.

@Eriq7001. That's true. I agree. Her sister was a little more versatile singer but Tamika has stronger voice just lot less versatile. So they compliment each other. Now me I loved when Kandi n tiny would do songs vs the sisters they just brought the spunk to the songs. Just listen to that Hold on Track . I love them though. Can't complain

Personally I think Tamika Scott has strong vocals but she's doesn't have the rage in different vocal styles like Kandi. If you look at the songs JD had her sing parts on ( particularly "Love On My Mind", "Understanding" and "What Can I Do") she sorta sounds off key A LOT. Tiny should have sung her parts on "Love On My Mind". She's not cohesive as a vocalist. And when she does sing lead in the start her vocals doesn't make the track like Kandi's does.

Now I have to say Kandi was the best all around singer. She didn't always have to be hitting high notes to prove she can sang. She just come on mellow sounding sexy, everybody do they thang don't get me wrong. U just hear Kandi vocals all in the background tho then she just hit that shit. You be like damn. You would forget how powerful her voice really was until she kill the background. It was clear everybody had talent contributed to the group no doubt.

Of course duhhh Ive been knew that Im from atlanta Kandi stayed down the street from where I stayed in the college park/east point area and my cousin went to school with the Scott sisters. Kandi of course made the group she can sing her ass off but now idk what the hell she sounds like when sings now lmao. Now as far as the strongest singer I would have to say Tamika Scott because her range is constant, strong, and flowing at the same time.

The Scott singers were reared in the church and had tons of experince as child stars and won tons of singing competitions as youngsters. Ther father is Randolfh Scott, a reveend in one of the churches in Atlanta.

Having Kandi sing lead make the group's sound. You cannot tell me "Feels So Good", "Just Kicking It" and "My Little Secret" would have sounded better if Kandi did noy sing lead on those tracks. And Kandi's parts in "Secret" were so strong. She was the strongest singer.To give the Scott sisters credit though- they have professional extensive singing experince from childghood..something Kandi didnt have. The Scott sisters won tons of awards as child talent stars in the Metro Atlanta area.

The situation was the JD preferred to have Kandi as the main lead singer and LaTocha as second lead / doing the adlibs. In some ways it just made better sense.
