This has gotta be a fictional story. A quick Google search will tell you that WKRS is in IL, yet the town (Gaylesville) is in AL. Also, WKRS is a subtle nod to "Kill Rock Stars", the record label responsible. This director is brilliant though. Check out his website. The song is based on Richard Chase, who was real.
