I think you just crossed paths with wrong people, in every "subculture" and groups of people in general, you will find rude and arrogant people. I personally don't know any goth who is like that.

agreed, I myself have become somewhat of a victorian goth, have had a sweet eye on the style since i was a few years of age in bits and pieces(grandmas gowns n shoes n hats etc) and im about the furthest thing from a rude asshole you can find.lol. I cant make people listen or understand "us" but im always here if there are questions:)

i dont even care about the relationship between looking goth and :w: i just love the music its got nothing to do with clothing. but if someone acts like that, it's probably a very lonely person that needs a friend, and is trying to justify to themselves and people why its OK that they dont have any. there are many socially handicapped or akward people that are attracted to goth scene and clothes because of the 'outsider' quality, it kinda legitimises them. this person was mean cause he's sad.
