This band holds a very dear place in my heart. I remember I'd listen to them non stop in high school before I was saved, and unbeknownst to me, I was already hearing bits and pieces of the Gospel back then.

Good argument. I am not at all religious, do not even believe in anything other than being decent to people and hoping for the same in return. I agree that there are levels of what is considered right or wrong, but show me a man or woman that is totally without any bad thoughts or deeds and i will show you a liar.

@KomodoVistas Man-made religion surrounding Christ is powerless. Jesus Christ gives His Holy Spirit to teach everyone about Himself. He desires a direct relationship, without mediators, for He Himself is the Mediator. Ask Jesus to reveal himself to you, hold on to that revelation, and obey Him. You will receive eternal life; and peace and healing in this one.

Christianity in the beginning was a humble, gritty, and tough faith. Christ himself was brutally killed, his followers martyred, and people traveled miles alone on foot to spread the word. David Eugene Edwards goes back to those humble gritty tough roots. I find this way more spiritual than those commercialized Christian artists with care-free, empty lyrics.

I love his pagan-like and "tribal" vision of Christ..."beat the drum for Him" never heard nothing like this... Anyway I understood the power of his music when I saw them playing in Bologna and there was a tramp at the end of Winter Shaker dancing and singing "Hallelujah"...I just could not believe my eyes LOL
