Within Temptation identify themselves as a Symphonic-Rock band. They are described as metal but that isn't how they identify. Also most of their their music has been Symphonic and Gothic rather than music. I have always preferred the Symphonic over the heavier songs. I personally am a fan of about half of the Unforgiving album for that reason.10 years ago

It's very simplistic indeed, but that's one of the things that makes it so cool. It's sort of a no-brainer so to say. I don't like their new stuff AT ALL. It's just fucking pop music nowadays.11 years ago
