@geinsbourgh it sure did because I discovered The Wipers through Nirvana and now I love "Land of the Lost" as much as I used to love Nevermind back in the day. I even have World Of Warcraft guild named "Wipers" wahoo!

I'm really glad this exists. So little footage of the Wipers. Apparently Greg didn't like to video taped. I got to see their final show at La Luna in Portland several years ago, and it was sorely underattended. They didn't announce it as being their last show, and I'm sure a lot of people kicked themselves for missing it. And, yes, it was amazing. Really made me understand those later albums, which was mainly the material they played..

They need more albums! Their last album Power In One is probably their best! They just kept getting better and better! It's been about ten years now! They could make a FREAKING EPIC MASTERPIECE!

(I know this is belated, but) I'm sorry I misunderstood your comment about people hearing about the Wipers through Nirvana, geinsbourgh. I thought you meant that it made them losers or something if they heard of them through Cobain. That's how I had heard of them (and due to the Melvins' cover of "Youth of America").

I was hoping Buzz Osbourne was left-handed, but he just misses the mark to be included in this prestigious group.

Hendrix, Sage, Cobain. Three lefthanded guitarists from the Pacific Northwest who each fronted power trios. Coincidence? ;)

I had my videocam at a show in '89 (Rocket Club, Providence, "The Circle" tour) and was all set to tape it. My friend asks the bass player if it's OK and he said he'd prefer not, so I respected that. I did get an audio of the show though, sadly it's been lost. Saw them many times in '87 and '89, great great band - probably my favorite band ever. I do still have a complete bootleg of a show in 1987 at Maxwell's, Hoboken.
