The awful irony of the song is that the young man who inspired this song, James "Jim-Jim" Chasse, was killed by police in the city of Portland in 2006 in one of the most controversial "use of force" cases in the history of the city. "They hurt what they don't understand" proved to be tragically truthful.

@wipers86 I love me the wipers probably just as much as you, but you gotta realize that it's a little ironic to be throwing the term gay around as a derogative when talking about this band seeing that Greg Sage, is in fact gay.
