rap from the north east is just fucking great i find (not american so dunno a whole lot but...) I mean take common market, blue scholars, k-os, pigeon hole, sweatshop union, dirty circus..(ok some of them are form canada, but still north east), they all sound really similar, the kinda hiphop i love, some real music, with lyrics that actually convey something more than tits weed and cash, and incredibly good flow! wish there was a bit songs more in that style that get you hyped tho, most of them are a bit depressive...

My favorite genre of music is hip hop for sure and my favorite group of the past three or so years is CYNE. Common market puts out some great music but if your looking for other groups with a somewhat similar style cyne is a group that i would recommend. Having two DJ's and two emcees they produce a wide variety of sounds. Ranging from funky soul type music to more thought provoking songs of reflection. Definitely a must-check if dipping your feet in the genre of underground hip-hop.
