The backup group, who recorded on this cut for Correc-Tone Records in spring 1962 were The Supremes, who had already been recording for Motown for over one and a half years. They were moonlighting. They didn't get any label credit, as they didn't want Berry Gordy to know. Correc-Tone had ex-Motowners, Robert Bateman, Sonny Sanders, Popcorn Wylie, Don Juan Mancha on Staff, and recorded using The Funk Brothers and many other of Motown's musicians. Diana was already out of high school in 1962.

This 1962 record has that early 60s unpolished RnB sound I love so much. The flip side to My Heart Belongs To You on an independent Detroit label related to Lupine, Wilson had cut I Found A Love/Swim (Falcons) on Lupine. The backup ladies? None other than the pre-Motown Supremes (who also cut a record on Lupine as the Primettes) Diana was still in high school!! Within two to three years both Wilson and the ladies would be carrying gold to the bank in a wheelbarrow!! Thanks
