Don't know a lot about Willy's love-hate relationship with NY. I was living in Hawaii for 20 years up until 2007. All I know is that the world lost a great, great artist when he passed.

Willy can do no wrong. This stuff is a brilliant follow up to the Trio in Berlin release, as bazzfazz said. All in all it's always a rare pleasure to hear his music and a great privilege to be part of the generation fortunate enough to first grow up and then grow old with Willy DeVille.
