Lyrics:
I can taste the night
The bitter wind chill as I wave away her flight
I'm learning love is missing who you're dreaming of
Step back and breathe
'Cause I believe
That it gets darker when she leaves
But no matter how far she goes
I just hope she always knows
As the winter gets
Colder, colder
I'll dream that I can hold her, hold her
If she falls then I'll catch her, catch her
'Cause I'll be there to save her, save her
Yeah as the winter gets colder, colder
I'll be there to hold her, hold her
If she falls then I'll catch her, catch her
'Cause I'll be there to love her, love her
Love her forever, yeah
And when she sails away
I'll ask her to promise she'll remember every day
That she's my girl
Even though she's across the world
'Cause everywhere she goes
Everything she sees
Every day she breathes she'll think of me
And I'll be doing just the same
I'll think of her when it rains

About this song:
This is a remake of the demo version of Before And After. I wasn't happy with the fact that I had a song where the lyrics weren't mine (the original lyrics were mainly written by one Sean Essex) so I took my melody and fitted a new set of lyrics to it. I am still grateful to Sean as without his contribution this song wouldn't exist, but this version of it is a lot more original and I now feel like I properly 'own' the song. I also cleaned a few things up from the demo version too.
