I highly recommend it, especially to those too young to have been hitting the Honkytonks while it was all happening. I was a drifter and saddle bum with a southern drawl, buckle, boots and hat, a passable dancer, and those California girls seemed to be all looking for a cowboy.The late 70's and early 80's are a bit fuzzy but I had a Big Time. once in Monterey, I woke up married to a pretty gal from Brazil. Just finished Waylons' autobiography, published in 94, and he didn't pull a lot of punches. One line I'll always remember is that every time willi said "Hoss we gonna get rich" somebody was hitchhiking home...usually him. The words were said with love you could tell. He also said that willie was his own personal Willie and he was Willies' Waylon. I'm stating them as I remember them, so that;s what he wrote or words to that effect . Sorry I only got to read about it, not take the ride with them.
