War performs "Why Can't We Be Friends" live at the Farm Aid concert in Austin, Texas on July 4, 1986. Farm Aid was started by Willie Nelson, Neil Young and John Mellencamp in 1985 to keep family farmers on the land and has worked since then to make sure everyone has access to good food from family farmers. Dave Matthews joined Farm Aid's board of directors in 2001.

1986 , If I am not mistaken this is about time of album Where there's Smoke. Harold Brown wasn't listed on that album. So maybe this is his band at the time playing War songs. He is now back with 3 other original members of WAR and are called Lowrider band. Check them out

Huge WAR fan tripping out on this footage. The only original WAR artist I see in this vid is Harold Brown on drums, and I THINK, Lee Oskar on harmonica is here, but I'm not really sure. Thanks for sharing though. The most original WAR band that still performs this iconic song to this day is called the LOWRIDER BAND now. Peace.
