I suppose you are right, in that what would be the point of a cover if it was a duplication of the original. As far as my personal likes, this Waltari version scrapes me right out of the Australian Outback with its heaviness....and drops me right into a dingy stereotypical metal nightclub complete with mosh pit. The 'soul' of the song's lyrics does not shine as brightly, when its metal'ed up. But that's just my opinion, glad that you enjoy it, I always appreciate hearing diverse opinions :)12 years ago

I think it's a great more heavy cover. Covering the song exactly as the original is would be irrelevant. I also like the original song a lot. I'm no Midnight Oil fan though and not a big Waltari fan either but I think I prefer this cover. The chorus just works for me even better in this version.13 years ago

Yuck !! This group managed to take "Midnight Oil's" very melodic piece with its crisply strumming acoustic guitars and a light horn section, and mucked it all up.... :(13 years ago
