"Hear Me" by Shaun Davey, as found on the Waking Ned Devine soundtrack. Vocals by Liam O'Maonlai and Rita Connolly, and lyrics by Kirk Jones and Shaun Davey.

It's winter on the islands,

The hearth is cold as stone,

Like a house deserted,

I'm roofless and alone.

Where is your voice,

Where is your touch,

Your breath,

Your guiding flame?

Where is the light,

I miss so much,

In this gently falling rain?

I hear your voice calling,

Through the silence of time.

I hear you through darkness,

When stormy seas run high.

Hear me, Hear me.

The sun will rise again.

Hear me, and by your side,

Our voices speak as one.

If this song doesn't tear your heart out you may not have one. If it does you've got some Irish in ya.

Ireland's culture is way different to England's, they were civilized by the romans but entering Ireland back then would have been magical with the light mist gently weeping over the shores, the large woodlands that cover the great island would have been exciting for any adventurer

Yes, it is the Isle of Man. One of the last unspoilt places. And long may it remain so. I knew the girl who lived in this very cottage.
