I don't understand how the cello or the violin are considered uncool. First, they are beautiful and can even be works of art, as either sculptures or paintings. You can look at specially designed violins to see what I mean. Second, they are extremely difficult to learn and you must work hard to master them. Third, they can produce almost any sound. If you want it to sound like a monster, it can do it. If you want it to sound like a bird, it can do it. Finally, I think these are much cooler than a bunch of half-dressed people repeating "ass" throughout an entire song (looking at you, Nicki Minaj and Jennifer Lopez) and shaking their butt fat back and forth. Realistically, the only way they could get repeat listeners is if they were only half clothed. I mean, who would pay to see Minaj sing in a parka and hiking boots? Or even jeans and a shirt? And yet Lindsey Stirling, Simply Three, Piano Guys, 2Cellos, IAmDSharp, Taylor Davis, and Caitlynn D have all made it while fully clothed. Maybe people think it is lame because they couldn't do it themselves until they had 5 years of practice, versus strumming a guitar a few times and calling it a chorus. Have you ever tried to play one of those things? If you had, you have real respect for these instruments and their players.
