At first I thought this was a NoMeansNo cover. They did a song with the same title. I remember playing them for a bunch of metalheads and they all kept going on about how NMN are the punk version of Voivod. Both bands started around the same time and are Canadian. Vocals very different but quite the same guitar and bass-wise.

Great song. I for one, liked Eric's contribution to the band.

i don't get why Eric Forrest is more regarded as a vocalist. He uses that aggressive growl/screech style better than just about anyone else who uses it. Unlike most of them, however, you can understand Eric perfectly.

If you think you can tell everything about this album, this is just a mutilated song. Listen to the whole deal. TRUST ME IT'S BRILLIANT.

the only time i've ever seen voivod live was with eric forest singing. they were so tight, and eric's voice is amazing, live. i love negatron and phobos .

I liked this album better than Negatron, too. It's what King Crimson would sound like if they played metal. The best of the Forrest era. It's an easy listen, but presents its own shades of complexity and wonder.

you should listen to the entire album, it's really not one to split into separate tracks, esp not when cut for a video. it has a vibe like no other, like the soundtrack to the scariest sci-fi movie never made. I've been a VoiVod fan for 25 years, and IMO that album ties with Hatross as their best.

in my opinion Phobos is Voivod's best album.

sorry, this is not Voivod. At least to me it's not, my ears don't like what they hear when my eyes read that this is Voivod.. very sad. Best albums of theirs were and still are war and pain, Rrroooaaarrr, killing technology, dimension hatross and nothing face.

Its interesting: I hate Negatron, but Phobos is pure genius. If I were stranded on a desert island, this is one of the albums I would need to have with me. Too bad they brutalized the song for the video - ruined it really. Listen to the CD, its much better.

Phobos was a great album...but nothing tops Hatröss! Still I like all Voivod albums..except RRROOOAAARRR, which just isn't that memorable..

I think Eric Forrest was a breath of fresh air. He gave some heavier life to Voivod again. I think people who're only fans of the first 3 albums enjoyed these two. I like Negatron quite a bit.

I always thought the 2 albums with Eric were a step back for Voivod.

I do like the two albums that Eric Forrest did with Voivod. I think He was more heavier than snake but snake is more psychedellic in a way. Though I would of thought they would have continued with this style for the follow up albums but instead they just picked where they left off with THE OUTER LIMITS. Comes to show that NEGATRON and PHOBOS where just experimentals. R.I.P. Piggy.
