Beginner here:In many other slap bass videos that's on Youtube, the players slap the strings into the board/neck, but Victor doesn't. Can someone tell me the why the difference?

Victor comes off as such a humble, nice guy, talented beyond all measure and a pioneer, technique god on the bass. That said, just once in these videos I'd love to hear the man say "That's about it, good luck, have fun with it.........bitch."
