I am obsessed with the harmony on the chorus of this song. The greatness of Michael McDonald strikes again

Or play on it. Or produce it.

I heard like this. The album is the only one that Elton has employed the disco sound in 70's. He has regretted that he had to introduce it to his tunes to sell well because even he could not have made a hit tune in the late 70's.

Point of order - Elton did not write a single song on that album.

A great song by Elton John! This was a featured track on "American Top 40.- The '70s" (from November 17th, 1979), & was the #31 song. Bravo, Reginald Kenneth Dwight!

This song was heard on the recent AT40: The 70's rebroadcast of the November 17, 1979 AT40 episode.

esta cancion es mi favorita de este cd insolito, fue un experimento super duper pero tardio, en el 77 hubiese sido la Gloria, en el 79 el disco se estaba apagando

Thanks for this underated upload. The album was kind of an experiment by Elton due to the disco genre. He wanted to know if he could write and play something that was equal to the disco going around the clubs and I say the answer was a resounding YES. Some say his "worst" effort. I say the word "worst" doesn't fit anywhere in Elton's repertoire. He can fart more melodiously than the crap bands and 'singers' of the last 15 years of shit music.

I love it you guys!! It's Elton John for pete's sake!! His talent alone carries this whole album. I was pleased to see him try something different at that time. I loved this album! My cheerleading squad wore it out creating dance routines!!! (hee-hee!!!) Candy, Paige, LaTonya!! Here's to us! ep

@keitaro2582 Because this does not stand up against 70s classics like Philadelphia Freedom, Your Song, Someone Saved My Life Tonight, or great 80s songs like I'm Still Standing, I Guess That's Why They Call It the Blues or Sad Songs. You want a song that should be on the radio more? Try 'Club At the End Of the Street', now THAT is a great underrated song. That said, this particular track could have been a lot worse, like 'Spotlight' for example. haha
